Over/Under 24.5, Whole Match (24.5) -> Over 24.5 at odds 2.27
Until a year ago, Bertens had only published a quarterfinal result or better at a WTA turf event in his career, when he reached the semifinals of 's-Den Bosch in 2015. The Dutchman has managed to reach to this instance three more times since then: the two previous ones were Wimbledon (quarterfinals) and Den Bosch (final). Like Pliskova, Bertens, who seeks to be the first Dutch finalist in this tournament since 1993, has also reached three finals in the season and has won two titles: in St. Petersburg and Madrid. In addition, both players have accumulated more than 30 victories this season and lead the circuit in aces. There is little that separates these two players. While Pliskova has accumulated a lot of experience in Eastbourne (he currently has an 11-3 record in the main draw of this tournament) Bertens leads the series of clashes with each other by 3-1 on the WTA. He won the only clash with each other on grass - it was in the Wimbledon 2018 round of 16 by 6-3 and 7-6.
